The brass knuckle knife originated in the US. During the First World War, the US soldiers needed a weapon to take on their enemies, specifically those battling in the trenches. Hence, brass knuckle knives were constructed and given to the US soldiers and they used these knives to fight their opponents. 

The WWI Trench Knife

The first ever brass knuckle knife was called a trench knife. Because these knives were used by the soldiers fighting in the trenches, these knives were called trench knives. The US soldiers needed such a great close quarter combat weapon. These knives proved extremely advantageous in this regard. 

The Primary Fighting Weapon During WWI

During the First World War, the trench knife remained as the primary fighting weapon. It was the main weapon used by the US soldiers to battle their enemies during this war. They could use the knuckles to punch their opponents and the blade to tear them apart. 

The Secondary Fighting Weapon During WWII

Though trench knives remained as the primary fighting weapons during World War I, they were not used during the Second World War. However, during this war, these knives were carried as secondary fighting weapons. When a soldier lost his original weapon, he could use this knife as the alternative combat weapon. 

After World Wars!

After the two World Wars, the popularity of brass knuckle knives lessened. However, these knives made a comeback after some time. Now, these knives are being used as self defense weapons in particular. People carry these knives because they have the luxury to use two weapons to deal with the attackers.

Today, brass knuckle knives are recognized as combat weapons. It can be regarded as the best close quarter combat weapon. You can use two weapons to take on your opponent i-e the knuckle duster and the knife. All in all, it is the perfect combat and fighting weapon.

Brass knuckle pocket knife is also used as self defense weapons in particular. People carry these knives because they have the luxury to use two weapons to deal with the attackers. You can either punch the attacker in his face to injure him or use the blade to tear him apart.
